This Spring's program is a 8 week series of 5K progressive workouts at 5K goal pace . Each workout totals to 4800 meters - just under 3 miles. This program will certainly get you race ready!
March 21 - 20 x 200m with 45 seconds rest
March 28 - 20 x 200m with 30 seconds rest
April 4 - 12 x 400m with 1 minute rest
April 11 - 12 x 400m with 45 secods rest
April 18 - 6 x 800m with 1 minute rest
April 25 - 6 x 800m with 1 minute rest
May 2 - 3 x 1600m with 2 minutes rest
May 9 - 2 x 2400m with 4 minutes rest
What a great day for marathon! Runners had perfect marathon running weather and amazng crowds to cheer them on throughout the city. You can't find a better running event than the NYC Marathon.
The club is hosting it's first 5K race in East River Park on September 10 at 9am. We will be serving up a post-race continental breakfast for participants and there will be prizes for the first three male and female finishers.
